Network Marketing Tip # 1 – The Company and the team must be a good fit for you!

Make sure you join a network marketing company you are passionate about. In this business, the going can, and will, get tough! So you must make sure that you are involved in good company that you are motivated about.

Also make sure you belong to a supportive, knowledgeable team! When you go solo you lose out on the benefits of having a team to mastermind with. Your team should be able to offer support and offer marketing advice. They should also respect your method of marketing. And most importantly, it must be an active team!

Network Marketing Tip # 2 – Utilize your network marketing upline support

Your sponsor and upline are there for a reason. While they are not there to hold your hand all of the time, they are there to offer advice, support and to take three way calls for you. When you do a three way call to your upline, it helps because you are adding another testimonial other than your own – especially if your upline has had success in the business.

If you don’t have an upline who can support you, you can either charge ahead and do the business with no upline support, or you can find another leader who will mentor you when you join their team. There are  a lot of MLM “gurus” out there who seem to be so successful, but when you turn to them for support after joining their team, they are tricky to get a hold of! So make sure you choose someone who will actually take the time to talk to you.

Network Marketing Tip #3 – Make personal development a priority in your life

Yes, it seems like you can just skip over this step and get right to business, but personal development actually is that important! Any top network marketer will tell you that you absolutely must work on your mindset! In this society, most of us are not raised and taught to have a business mindset. I mean, we are taught to trade our time for dollars, right?

So when you have to put late nights into your business and the results aren’t flooding in quite yet, you need to have the right mindset so that you have the motivation to keep pushing! Keep pushing and fine tuning your methods and know that the results won’t come overnight. Have an entrepreneurial mindset! Don’t overlook this vital network marketing tip.

Network Marketing Tip # 4 – Become a product of the product

Make sure that you actually use your product and have a testimonial about your product or service. Sometimes people get so focused on the recruiting aspect that they forget the value in the product or service they are selling!

If you are no longer passionate about your product or you don’t believe in it anymore, then it’s time to find a new network marketing company. There are many options available.

What to look for in a network marketing system

Are you looking for a way to climb the ranks of your company, make more money and have an endless pool of leads? Then you had better have a good Network Marketing System.

It’s true that most people in Network Marketing quit in their first 90 days, and there are good reasons for that:

First, they don’t make money fast enough or spend too much of their own money.

Second, they don’t know enough people to talk to. The key word is “know” people. People just run out of people that they know and don’t build new relationships fast enough.

Third, people don’t have the proper training to generate their own leads. Five, they don’t have a proven network marketing system.

So naturally, most people just won’t be interested. Then they may get a clever idea to buy leads from a lead broker. Some people use this strategy but it’s so cold that most leads are very defensive and untargeted. They don’t even know what Network Marketing truly is.

You see, you need a network marketing system that provides:

• A way to break even fast
• Ongoing training
• Proven leadership and marketing strategies
• Targets people in the game of Network Marketing
• Has several ways to make money

But most network marketers don’t know about this and still chase people online. Just like offline marketing, you have to build relationships online as well in order to recruit.

Otherwise, you’ll come off like an absolute moron desperately begging people to join you in your business. You have to attract people to you instead of make people run from you!

How to build your network marketing business on Facebook

Facebook is the ultimate social media platform!  Most people I know have a Facebook profile – even people who were once turned off by computers!

There is a different side to Facebook that you may not know about. You can actually use Facebook as a networking platform for your network marketing business. Before we get into the do’s of Facebook networking, let’s get into the don’ts!

The DON’Ts of Facebook Marketing for your network marketing business

1. Don’t send spam emails to strangers on Facebook and try to sell them on your business opportunity.

2. Don’t post spammy links on people’s Facebook walls.

3. Don’t go to groups and keep posting over and over and over again about your business opportunity.

These are the big no-no’s on Facebook! And I can tell you right now that I constantly hear people on Facebook complain about people just sending them spam emails out of the blue – saying, “Join my MLM company! It has the BEST compensation plan!” Let me tell you, you won’t get anywhere with that tactic!

So then how DO you effectively network on Facebook?

1. Set up a profile that has a good “about me” section and lists all of your relevant websites and profile links. This is an opportunity to brand yourself – so don’t skimp on this step.

2. Look for Facebook groups that are relevant to your business. There are tons of network marketing groups online if you want to network with other networkers.

What do you post on the wall of the group? You post valuable content instead of spammy messages. For example, you can post inspirational messages, network marketing advice, or maybe even online marketing advice. And make sure you interact with the other members of the group. Comment and like their posts.

Also, if you have a blog, you can post links to your relevant blog posts on the group wall -  this is a great way to get comments and likes for your blog – if you are an active member of the group, the members will want to reciprocate the favor. This is just another way to get your name out there.

3. Set up a Facebook fan page! A lot of networkers are taking advantage of this option! You can eventually gain a lot of fans and offer a lot of valuable content to your readers! This positions you as a leader in your field.

You can network with other people on Facebook when you switch over to your fan page profile. You just have to switch to “use Facebook as (name of your fan page)”.

To do this, you have to “like” other fan pages out there, because Facebook will only let you interact with other fan pages when you are switched to your fan page profile.You basically just go to other fan pages and comment on them, interact with their commenters and so forth. A lot of people have gained a big following from doing this, although it does take time!

4. Put an opt-in box on your personalized Facebook fan page. You can set up custom landing tabs for your Facebook page. So if someone visits your fan page (from your YouTube channel or blog…so forth) then they will see a custom landing page – you can put an opt in box on this page. They can enter their information in exchange for a free offer you have.

5. The last method I will mention is paid advertising on Facebook. You can pay to advertise on Facebook. Have you seen those ads that are on the right side of the page when your on Facebook – that’s where your ad will show up.

Are you confused about the TriVita compensation plan? Here you will find their compensation plan simplified to make it easier to understand.

TriVita is a health and wellness company that markets their products through direct sales. TriVita’s sales representatives are called Affiliate Members.

The TriVita Compensation Plan – Simplified

How much does it cost to enroll in the TriVita business?

Currently, there is no cost to join TriVita.

What are VitaPoints?

VitaPoints – a point system in the TriVita compensation plan allotted to each product. For example, Nopalea is worth 40 VitaPoints.

How many VitaPoints are needed to maintain your status?

At the lowest, affiliate level, you will need to maintain at least 40 VitaPoints per month. You can achieve this with your personal order most likely.

As you progress in your TriVita career, you will have to maintain a higher number of VitaPoints monthly.

TriVita also factors in your total group sales volume in VitaPoints in order to determine your rank. This includes your own personal volume plus the volume of your members and other affiliate members in your downline.

What is the Reward Value?

So, each product has a certain amount of VitaPoints AND its own Reward Value. The reward value determines what percentage of the product you will get paid on.

For 60 days on all new members and affiliate members – you get 100% (reward value)

After the 60 day period – you get 80% (reward value)

Bonuses offered by the TriVita compensation plan

There are bonuses in place to boost your income when you are actively selling their products. For example, they have a weekly bonus and a monthly leadership bonus. How much you earn will depend on your rank and title.

Getting paid on your total team – affiliate members and members

You not only get paid on the affiliate members and members you personally bring in. But you also get paid on your total group of affiliate members and members down through 7 tiers.

Luckily, the TriVita compensation plan offers a uni-level plan with compression, which means that if someone is not active in your team, they will not count in the 7 tier lineup.

There are actually two uni-level plans in the TriVita compensation plan – one is for the members and one for member affiliates – and each offers a different level of compensation. This is where you can truly earn a residual income, and that’s what this business is all about – one of the perks!

TriVita Co-Op Advertising – how does it work?

Basically, you can buy contacts (leads) acquired through TriVita’s advertising. And you can also buy customers. You will earn compensation whenever these customers/contact purchase products in the future.

Is there a TriVita scam?

Are you doing research to find out if there is a TriVita scam? I have done my own research, and some people are saying that the TriVita business is a scam.

This article will reveal the truth about the business opportunity and if there is any validity to the idea of a TriVita scam.

Why are people saying there is a TriVita Scam?

A lot of these claims are from former TriVita Affiliate Members – the representatives that sell the products and also bring in new affiliate members. Some of these representatives felt like it was harder to earn an income than they originally thought.

This happens a lot in direct sales companies! When you first get in and see the income potential “written on the wall” you may have a false sense of what it takes to make money in a company like TriVita – leading people to claim that there is a TriVita scam when they struggle to earn an income.

Is there a high failure rate in the Trivita business?

In one word – yes! But that’s true of all direct sales companies. It’s really because the primary marketing method new affiliates are taught is difficult to sustain over a long period of time.

Most companies tell their new representatives to market in the following ways

1. Make a list of all of your friends and family
2. Get referrals from your friends and family
3. Do the three foot rule – talk to various people you come across

Do these marketing methods work for TriVita affiliates? Yes they can – but only for some people. Most of the time representatives run into a road block: they have no one left on their list! So basically you have to learn how to market your business through other methods in order to reap the benefits of the TriVita compensation plan.

I remember when I first got started in network marketing a while back – I asked my upline what I should do when I ran out of friends and family. My upline said, “You have to find a way to get leads.” I asked them HOW to get new leads – and never really got a response other than to maybe buy leads.

I tried buying leads. I got some results from it, but I had to buy the really expensive leads and then those leads were shared with other marketers! Not to mention the fact that most people don’t like to cold call.

Now that you know there is no TriVita scam, how can you earn a real income in the business?

It all comes down to one word – marketing! You must learn how to market because this is a real business you are in. Just because it costs less than a traditional business does not mean is not a real business. You can market your business online or offline. Many marketers are choosing to market their business online.

Is there a learning curve in online marketing? Yes, there is. However, it is a viable way to attract prospects to you. You can use the internet to generate leads on a daily basis! Without new leads for your business, you’re not really in business, right?

Online network marketing to attract prospects to you

Today we’re going to talk about a different way to market your network marketing business – using online network marketing.

Some people use this method to supplement their offline methods, and some people actually use this as their primary method of marketing.

With online network marketing, you are not chasing people anymore!

Attraction marketing for online network marketing success

Instead of having the mindset of traditional network marketers, you are going to shift your way of thinking to the realm of attraction marketing. What is attraction marketing? It means that you set up your presence on the internet and lead with value – and in turn, you draw the prospects to you.

To pull off the attraction marketing method, you must offer lots of value and position yourself as a leader. If you think about it, it is similar to offline network marketing. The heavy hitters offline also use attraction marketing – just offline instead of online!

What do you need to get set up with online network marketing?

You can do MLM online for a pretty low price – it may just take you longer to see results. Here are some of the things I recommend to get started with online network marketing:

1. You need to have a blog – a central hub that you drive all traffic to.

2. You need to have a Facebook profile & fan page.

3. You should have a Twitter profile set up.

4. You need to have an autoresponder – an email marketing system

5. You should set up a YouTube account

These are just the bare minimums you should have in order to have a successful start in the online marketing world.

Okay, that’s great, but how do you drive traffic to your online MLM blog?

How to drive traffic to your sites – that is a hot topic among us online network marketers! Seriously! When I first got started, I was solely focused on SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I would write blog posts and make sure I followed all the SEO guidelines – hoping for a high ranking in Google.

Well, that just wasn’t enough! If you just build it – they don’t always come! So I had to implement other strategies. Now, I use a combination of backlinking, videos, and social media to make my blog stand out.

I have another online network marketing blog that I focus most of my time on now, and let me tell you, it took a lot of investigation and training to learn just HOW to get Google’s attention. It’s very competitive right now, as you probably know. So you must be aware of up to date methods of how to drive traffic.

But my wife, Tara, and I stuck with it – we felt like pulling our hair out at times, but we didn’t quit. Now we get leads every single day – and there’s proof that it actually works if you have the dedication to stick to it and NOT give up.

How did we learn how to get started with attraction marketing online?

We did a lot of research at first. And we eventually joined an attraction marketing system that teaches you exactly how to set yourself up online. This system also includes capture pages and walks you through the process step by step.

I won’t lie – it WAS frustrating to get everything set up. But it is definitely doable if you are willing to commit the time and work. Now we are attracting prospects to us, instead of us trying to chase down everyone we know. Yes, we know that the three foot rule works for some people, but we definitely PREFER the online marketing methods – for sure!

If the traditional methods of network marketing aren’t really working for you, then you need to learn smart marketing strategies in order to become successful in your business.

I no longer look up the keyword I’m trying to rank for on Google. I used to manually type in the keyword I was trying to rank for and search for it – to find out which page I was on. Let’s just say that I wasted a lot of time!

It got especially difficult when I began to have a lot of content – more and more keywords to keep up with. Then I learned about Market Samurai.

This software has made my life SO much easier! Now I start each day by opening up Market Samurai – a software that shows me which page I’m ranking on for each of my keywords! Because after entering into the internet marketing world, it doesn’t take too long to understand how your rankings directly affect your earnings! At least, that’s how it is for me!

So how does this software work? First, I enter in my websites I want it to look for. Secondly I type in the keywords I want to rank for. I tell it to find my ranking data, and it pulls up the location of my ranking (for each keyword) in the most popular search engines. It will look for your ranking data on a lot of different search engines, but to make it quicker, I just tell it to look on Google – since that’s the most important one for me.

The software can also tell you how many back links you have – the number of links from other sites that are linking into your site. That’s a very important number because more back links can significantly increase site’s ranking. With that said – it’s also crucial to have good quality back links referring back to your site – links from sites with a good “page ranking”.

Market Samurai also finds out what your “page ranking” is. In addition, it lets you know how many pages on your site are indexed by Google. So i will tell you – it has certainly given me a lot more time.

Each day I check my keyword rankings on Google – so this software has been great for me. I have to admit, it has a keyword research tool included in it that I haven’t really put to good use yet. I will start using that soon, though. I’ve heard excellent things about it. It can really narrow down a good keyword.

Melaleuca Scam

Find out the truth here!

Are you worried that Melaleuca may be a scam? If you are, you are not the only one.

In this article, you’ll hear about the most common complaints about this company and if there really is a Melaleuca scam.

Melaleuca Scam – Not enough transparency on the Melaleuca.com website

On the Melaleuca website, there are plenty of stories. You can hear about the story of the stay at home mom, the business professionals and so forth – how they made money and became successful. This is useful because people like stories. You can relate to a story.

But the problem is – I don’t see any in depth explanation of the business model or compensation plan in plain sight. In this information age, people need to be able to research more in depth on their own, without having to only depend on a representative for explanation.

Of course, this fact alone does not make Melaleuca a scam, but it can make people a lot more wary before joining the company. (And you can find the comp plan on the internet – it’s just not plainly visible on the main site.)

Melaleuca Scam – Shady marketing practices used by some Melaleuca reps

What kind of shady marketing tactics am I referring to: misleading ads on Craigslist, reps twisting the facts about the fees and monthly requirements, and I could go on and on. Seriously, these types of complaints are easy to find on the internet.

And yes, there will be bad apples in this, and every company. But that does not mean there’s a Melaleuca Scam. You see, it is impossible for a company to know exactly what each rep is saying at any given time.

I personally believe that having integrity in your Melaleuca business is a must. But there will always be those who are more driven by money. Most of the reps in these types of companies are genuine and are looking for a legitimate way to earn an income.

Melaleuca pyramid scam – Is it a Pyramid scheme?

First, let’s find out exactly what a pyramid scheme is.

Let’s let the Securities and Exchange Commission define it for us:

“In the classic “pyramid” scheme, participants attempt to make money solely by recruiting new participants into the program. The hallmark of these schemes is the promise of sky-high returns in a short period of time for doing nothing other than handing over your money and getting others to do the same.”

“The fraudsters behind a pyramid scheme may go to great lengths to make the program look like a legitimate multi-level marketing program. But despite their claims to have legitimate products or services to sell, these fraudsters simply use money coming in from new recruits to pay off early stage investors. But eventually the pyramid will collapse. At some point the schemes get too big, the promoter cannot raise enough money from new investors to pay earlier investors, and many people lose their money.”

So basically, according to this definition, Melaleuca is not a pyramid scheme. They do have legitimate, quality products, and there is not a large investment required to become a distributor.

Finally, there a Melaleuca scam?

Even though there are some Melaleuca complaints, it is not a scam. Of course, it’s not the right business for everyone, but if you are committed to learning the right way to market, and you have the motivation to succeed, it may be the business for you.

Talking to your friends and family to get the word out is one way to market this business. But there are other, legitimate ways to market your business – by using the internet to find interested prospects. How much does it cost to join Visalus, and how lucrative is the Visalus compensation plan?

Visalus Compensation Plan – Cost to Join

There are three different options when you join ViSalus as a distributor:

Choice Number 1 – Basic Distributor – $49 , plus the cost of a product kit. The most inexpensive option would be the $49 product kit. So the least amount of money you can pay to become a distributor is $98.

Choice Number 2 – Executive Success System (ESS) option – $499. You do not have to purchase an additional product kit since the products come with this option.

Choice Number 3 – ESS plus samples – $999. So basically you get everything in the ESS, plus additional samples to hand out.

As you can see, with the ViSalus compensation plan, there are many options for becoming a distributor. This is helpful because pretty much everyone can afford to join the company.

You must be an active distributor to earn income with the ViSalus Compensation Plan

How do you remain active? There are two options:

Option 1 – Have an autoship in the amount of $125 per month (Personal Qualification Volume).

Option 2 – Have $200 in retail sales monthly (PQV).

What type of Comp plan is it?

The ViSalus compansation plan is a unilevel with compression.

What is a Unilevel compensation plan? Basically you can only recruit people front-line to you. The more people you sponsor, the wider your organization grows.

What does “Compression” mean?

With a Unilevel plan, you get paid down to a certain amount of levels of your organization. So, say you get paid down to the 5th level of your organization – due to your current level in the company. If one of those distributors is not active, then you won’t lose that level. That level will be skipped so that you will get paid the full five levels. So that inactive level gets skipped, so you can earn the full commission off of five complete levels.

What are the 8 ways to get paid in ViSalus?

Direct Sales and personal comissions

First Order Bonus – A bonus goes out to the first four active upline associates when a new distributor orders personal products at the time of enrollment.

Rising Star Weekly Enroller’s Pool – For Rising Stars. A portion of 2 % of the company’s bonus volume from the previous four weeks. This is available only to those who qualify for it.

Fast Start Bonus – You must achieve the rank of director, then you can qualify to earn a bonus on some of the products within each ESS sold in your team, to unlimited depth.

Team Commissions – earn commissions on the product sales generated throughout your team organization.

Leadership Depth Bonus – You must achieve the level of Ambassador. Then, when your organization grows beyond 8 levels deep, you will receive a bonus from your 9th level and beyond.

BMW Bonus – Must be a regional director or higher. You can earn 600/month to be used for a black company branded BMW. If you don’t get the BMW, then you can receive $300 in cash/month instead.

Leadership Pool – For the Presidential Directors and Ambassadors. It goes off of a point system, and you can take part in receiving a bonus that is collected from 2 % of the total company bonus volume.

Ambassador Star Bonus – Paid to Star Ambassadors based on the Vi-Net® Pro/SUCCESS subscriptions within their organization.

Is the compensation plan lucrative?

There are a lot of ways to get paid with the ViSalus compensation plan. The BMW plan is catchy and adds credibility to those who qualify for it – in their warm market/home market at least. There’s a lot of motivation and energy pushing this company, and right now there is a lot of buzz going around about this company.

I would say that yes, this company does offer a lucrative compensation plan. But, with that said, you have to know how to find prospects and recruit – that’s the number one problem people face in this industry!
