I too have been through some rough times in the networking industry. Joined my first company at 18 and worked it like a dog using old school methods for almost two years only to see little to no success. But you know what, failure did not stop me because you never truly fail until you fail to get back up. And you can be sure as hell that I'm ALWAYS going to get back up. Even if I fall down a 20 stair trying to kickflip it, I'll get up and do it again until I succeed. You make some excellent points here David, I was glued to the page the whole way through. One profound skill that networkers must have is theirself. They have to start personal development, that is, have the right mindset, attitude, and vision to get through turbulent times.
